Kaoru Ichimonji (一文字 薫, Ichimonji Kaoru), otherwise known as Sou-Banchou, is a character in the Tokimeki Memorial series. He makes his debut in Tokimeki Memorial 2.
Profile[]
Kaoru is Akane Ichimonji's older brother, and the boss of a group of delinquents who cover the entire area of Hibikino city. Kasumi Asou and Maeka Kudanshita seem to have been his classmates at Hibikino High School, and he'll recognize Kasumi if he battles you during a date with her.
He's very protective of Akane, especially since their parents are not present, and he doesn't like the protagonist approaching her. As the protagonist becomes closer to Akane, Kaoru tries various ways to sabotage their relationship. The reason for this is that Akane became hurt when a friend of hers moved away during her childhood, and he doesn't want to see her sad face again. Akane herself says she loves and hates Kaoru, and her feelings towards her brother are complicated.
He's the leader of the "Four Heaven Kings", which consists of himself, Akiba Kanda, Chouta Sakuradaman, and Kouji Yotsuya. A mysterious fifth member named Part-Time Job Banchou can also be fought...
In Akane's ending, the other members of his gang have to hold him back as Akane confesses to the protagonist.
Etymology[]
- The name Kaoru means "fragrance, fragrant" (薫).
- Kaoru's surname Ichimonji means "one letter, straight line, beeline" (一文字).
